(no subject)
Quiet day. My birthday passed quietly. We went out with my parents to eat at the local mongolian grill Sunday. Low fast carbs+ lots of veggies= good for me. but S seemed to have a stomache bug or something when we got home. I didn't even mention that is was my birthday to anyone on Monday. My brother was sick, and no one else wanted to make me a cake. I should get some chocolate and make myself some mousse.
Today was alright. We watched Darby O'gill and the Little People. I had no idea how they made that movie. I always thought they filmed it twice and overlayed the film, but no. All of the little people were about 25 feet further away from the camera than the larger actors. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to look toward the camera and address someone 25 feet behind you. Wow!
It stretched all the way across the sky. The NE end was doubled but I didn't get a shot where that really showed up. Both the kids were impressed. S went into his room after everyone came in and watched it until the sun was setting and it disappeared. Yeah Tropical Storms!
