I am  2/3's of the way through breaking dawn, the last book in the Twighlight Saga by Stephanie Meyer.  OMG.  Really, I got online so I could put the book down and go to bed, otherwise it would be a straight read through.  I started Bad Monkeys by Matt Ruff yesterday and finished it this morning with my coffee.  It was compelling, but it's so twisty at the end, I'm not sure how I feel about it.  I think I may force it on my brother.  It shouldn't be too hard, it has a positive quote from Christopher Moore on it.

So, we went to the library, where no one had snatched up breaking dawn yet.  It was already 90 degrees when I was drinking coffee at 9, so we tryed to get out quick.  We fed the ducks all our bread heals and stale bread from the week.  I like to buy the fancy stuff when they put on discount for .99, and sometimes we don't eat it all before it goes.  I don't think the ducks, or the fish, or the ravens care about one little green spot.

Since I got my birthday money from my grandfather yesterday, we then went to Half Price where I spent some of my money on 3 books.  A Phillip K Dick that I haven't read before, Waifs and Strays by Charles de Lint, and Deffinatly Dead by Charlaine Harris (so I am only 2 behind in having a full hard back collection of Sookie Stackhouses).  I was really disappointed that the Douglas Adams that was there a few weeks ago was gone.  It had both Dirk Gently books in one HB volume.  D got a haloween joke book, and S got a couple of those kiddy paperbooks that are $1 each.  Then I spent the rest of my money on chicken for lunch.  I would have rather gone to get Mongolian beef, but I was too hungrey to wait, and so were the kids.  We were hot and cranky by the time we got home.

I should have passed cash to Mom and gotten her to get me a roll of mylar through her library.  I want to mylar my books.  They're just better that way.
