Thoughts on MacSteam
Not bad, but there's a few problems:
Stores game data in ~/Documents/Steam Content/ so that every user on the system will have their own multi-GB installs of each game. Wonderful!
Automatically adds itself as a start up application, but runs in the dock as a normal application instead of in the menu bar like a resident app. To be fair, Steam is sorta neither/both. There really isn't a good place for it, but it's annoying that it did this without asking (but it's easy enough to turn off: right click on the app icon in the dock and uncheck the option to run on login).
Started Portal up, did the first test chamber, picked up the radio and watched my progress for the achievement be re-set to 1/25. Not necessarily a Mac-specific bug, but that's annoying.
