Just got back form the Pumpkins
Some thoughts on the show. First I saw them last year at Red Rocks and it was a really good show. They played for 1 hour and 45 mins before they finally stopped and then did one encore song. Which I was fine with since they played such a long set. It was all good classic Pumpkins stuff. This time around I got to see them at the Ogden which is a much smaller venue and needless to say the show was sold out. Its was weird seeing a ridiculous amount of chads there. I mean I always thought of the Pumpkins as rock with a goth influence. So it just did not fit. Well they were the only band tonight. So they played for get this 2 and a half hours before finally going on a break. It was freaking long but good. Then they came out and did a two song encore. I was glad they played Ava adore this time around. Its such a good song. Billy Corgan was dancing all happy during it too which was "huh". Still had fun. Last time around was mostly rock this time it seemed more like a psychedelic rock show. They played some weird stuff. It just felt like they completely changed. It was still very good just not what I was expecting. They had a song that used bird sounds from a doll for about 2 mins. Weird. Oh well with that I am crashing.
