Spring Break

So yeah....Costa Rica was totally awesome....I met cool people, did cool work, practiced a cool language, got a lot closer to God (which is really cool), got to be surrounded by cool scenery all the time, did some really cool things like the canopy tour on a zip line and hot springs and seeing cool waterfalls, and I didn't use the word cool that many times while I was down there....which lets face it is definatly cool :) LOL okay I'm done amusing myself with the word cool.....but yeah it was totally awesome....eventually I will have my pictures online and soon I will type up my reflections that I wrote while on the trip so you should look forward to that

The first week back from SB/CR was pretty normal: class, homework, a little stress, not quite enough sleep, church, spending basically everyday with Staci....ya know the norm

So on Thursday I read in the paper about a scholarship for people who want to study abroad next year and while I was already wanting to study abroad before I graduated and thinking that next Spring would be the best time to do so, the news about the scholarship really got me movin....the scholarship application is due April 30th so I kinda gotta decide quickly ya know....

SO I was thinkin about going to a Spanish speaking country naturally, but then upon talking to Clinton he said that I needed to branch out and I was like you're crazy I'm majoring in Spanish and trying to learn Spanish I should go to a Spanish speaking country....he told me the point of studying abroad is to learn about a new culture and since I've already been to 2 different Hispanic countries and experienced their culture a lot I should try somewhere else

So this started making sense to me and I thought hey I could go somewhere else and learn their language....so I thought somewhere in Europe and had it narrowed down to either prolly Germany or Italy, but I think Italy is the better choice (I've had a fasicnation with going there since I was a little kid, I'm already interested in trying to learn the language, and the language is pretty close to Spanish so it wouldn't be really hard to pick up).....so now I'm trying to make sure that Italy is the best choice and also decide between going to Rome and Florence....I'm going to consult some books with pretty pictures and my cousin who used to live there for like 3 years to see where she thinks is better.....

So yeah that's life for me right now in a nutshell....hope you enjoyed reading about it :)
