Extra Krispy

I forgot to bring lunch to work the other day, so I went to KFC. One of the items I ordered was the buffalo snacker, plain. However, when I got my sandwich, there was lettuce on it. I turned right around to get a new sandwich. Pissed off at me, they hand me a new sandwich. It's still wrong -- this one is plain, even to the point of no buffalo sauce. I notice it before I even leave the window. I hand it back politely and I've now attracted the attention of the cook. She takes both of the sandwiches and slams them into the trash and walks off to get me a new one. The start accusing me of ording wrong (I said "buffalo snacker, plain" and they repeated that to me. how was I wrong?). They slam the window shut on me as I wait for my replacement. Once it comes, they shove it at me, "here's your buffalo snacker." I was never rude about the mistake and I didn't get a single sorry from them. I would have to say that it was the worst I've ever been treated at a restaurant, actually. After I got back to work, I called KFC and spoke to the manager who offered a free meal. I turned it down because, really, it wasn't about that. We, as humans, make mistakes from time to time. If we can't take them in stride, we've failed as people...
