On Saturday night, we had our annual Halloween party, which was only sparsly attended. Which isn't all that odd since Halloween was, like, 2 weeks ago. Plus, I didn't really invite anyone (I tend not to invite people to our parties unless I know that there will be a lot of people there, but there can't be a lot of people there unless I invite people... my own Catch-22!).
The party was going kinda slow, but then someone noticed that I had bought a new Playstation game earlier that day -- Karaoke Revolution. A challenge was made and 5 of us began to show our stuff. I went second, did fairly well, even got one of the other people to comment "I didn't know you were going to be good!" But the girl who said that? just lulling me into a false sense of security. She went last and blew us all away. Turns out she had professional singing training in NYC! That cheater!
But she didn't win. In her second round, she was apparently off, so she didn't even get to finish the song. I didn't win, either. I did fine in the first adn second rounds, but in the last round, where the song is randomly chosen, I got my ass handed to me. Apparently, I need to listen to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack more because I don't know "(I've had the) Time of My Life" well at all. So, the winner was an average singer that was able to avoid being kicked off any of his song.
I want a rematch!
