Calling all drummers
The Newark Arts Alliance on Main Street is sponsoring a free informal drum circle on Friday, January 23, from 7-8:30 p.m. This may become a monthly event, depending on response.
This event will be moderated by Rebecca. The focus will be primarily on African and Mideast rhythms, but all drumming is welcome. Participants are asked to bring a drum or other percussion instrument.
Melody instruments (such as flute, clarinet, etc.) are also invited. There can also be dancing, if space permits. This is a DRY event, no alcohol. Children should be accompanied by parents.
No advance registration is needed.
Donations will be solicited but not required.
