Life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone

The stupid UF library changed its site all around and now it's pretty difficult for me to navigate. I got to Business Source Premier, but I can't get any kind of book that doesn't have to do with science. WTF? Andrea! Ugh...I think I'm just going to give Mak what I have and hope for 5%.

I can't believe the third week of school is almost over. Good for time going by, not so much for the amount of classes I've already missed and a test looming around the corner. :\

My dad had his surgery yesterday. He had a total hip replacement on his left side (I think it was his left). He's doing well enough--he's in a lot of pain, but he's already recovering speedily. He sounded a lot better today than he did yesterday.

Laura and I went on a little excursion yesterday to play with wedding dresses and guess what? I found The Dress! Lucky for Laura and the salesperson, I found it on the 5th attempt.

I'm so excited about it--I want to buy it and wear it every day! It's funny because I went into the store telling the salesperson that I didn't want strapless because I didn't want to look like every bride. But the dress I fell in love with is strapless. Just like me, huh? I have a link to it, but I don't want to post it here in case Patrick is looking at lj (he knows my password, so it's likely). If you guys want to see it, comment with your email addresses. The best thing about it is that it's way below my budget that I set for myself. I put $1500 of my own money in my wedding fund and that was the budget I set for myself for a wedding dress. But this is way below that, which is fantastic and makes it even more perfect!

My goal is to contribute at least $5k to my own wedding, so with the money I'm saving on the wedding dress, I will probably pay for the photographer :).
