Lessons Learned

Such an uplifting song:

There are some things that I regret
Some words I wish had gone unsaid
Some starts that had some better endings
Been some bad times I've been through
Damage I could not undo
Some things I wish I could do all all over again
But it don't really matter
When life gets that much harder
It makes you that much stronger, oh
Some pages turned, some bridges burned
But there were lessons learned

From every tear that had to fall from my eyes
From every day I wondered how I'd get through the night
From every change life has thrown me
I'm thankful for every break in my heart
I'm grateful for every scar
Some pages turned, some bridges burned
But there were lessons learned

There are mistakes that I have made
Some chances I just threw away
Some roads I never should've taken
Been some signs I didn't see
Hearts that I hurt needlessly
Some wounds that I wish I could have one more chance to mend
But it don't make no difference
The past can't be re-written
You get the life you're given, oh
Some pages turned, some bridges burned
But there were lessons learned

...

And all the things that break you
Are all the things that make you strong
You can't change the past coz it's gone
And you gotta just move on
It's all lessons learned

In other news, I have Sandi playing with my resume--she's a resume genius so it should be looking mighty fine when I send it off to M. Silver. Shawn called me (diff. Shawn) and he was getting me all excited again. He used to be really weird, but it turns out he's a great friend and probably one of my biggest cheerleaders. It's so wonderful to have such good friends who do nothing but support you! I hope I'm that sort of friend to all of you. It's hard not to be jealous sometimes, but I will always be excited when good things come your ways!

Brad and Melissa's wedding planning is in full swing. I think their colors are going to be chocolate brown, tan and pink which could be really pretty for a fall wedding. I'm so excited for all of this :)

Patrick's 21st bday was yesterday. He spent the morning with me here yesterday since I wouldn't be in town for his soiree. It's a good thing I wasn't because I got really green-faced sick. It was not a fun day, but I'm glad I got to see him. (Laura, in case you were wondering, chocolate milk is NOT good in reverse).

I'm heading back to Gainesville either Friday or Saturday and I'm excited to get back but, as usual, I'm sad for break to be over.

That's all I've got for now!
