[challenge] fandom snowflake | day 14
in your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create.
i have a ton of fandoms and a ton of those fandoms in which i read fic for. plus, i am also like the most person indecisive ever, so i decided to go and rec some of my absolute favorite fics. these are the ones that really just stuck with me and that i've read over and over again, whether it be due to the beautiful writing or spot on characterization or the storyline or all of it combined together.
inception. arthur/eames.
the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing.
“pictures of dom tonight, eames,” yusuf replies from the doorway, “or i swear to you, i will point out to arthur that he has a stalker with no shame and a thousand dollar camera.
the west wing is one of my favorite shows of all time and inception is one of my favorite movies so a west wing inception au is my like own personal heaven.
leverage. eliot/parker/hardison.
the not your teaching tool job.
parker doesn't understand why it has to be more complicated than: "i want to be with you, i just don't want to sleep with you." it's everyone else who has the problem.
this fic has parker as a biromantic asexual, which the others don't really understand. they think it has something to do with her being damaged because of her childhood, though that isn't the case. a truly beautiful fic.
push. nick/cassie.
driving with the brakes on.
nick discovers a way to help cassie see more clearly. it's a little sketchier than he's comfortable with.
i loved, loved, loved the plotline of this. it's such a refreshing idea, not to mention incredibly hot. it's also written by musesfool who is one of my favorite authors, i love everything i read of hers, especially her nick/cassie fics which are always so amazing.
sherlock. molly/lestrade.
an avalanche of detour signs.
in which molly hooper gets a job, gets a degree, breaks a heart, has her heart broken, falls in love, keeps a secret, saves a life, runs a morgue, falls apart, pulls it together, and finds exactly what she didn't know she was looking for--not necessarily in that order.
molly is my favorite character on the show and this is such an introspective look at her character. it covers the entirety of her experiences for the first two seasons and it's absolutely amazing. it's written by gyzym who is another of my favorite authors.
teen wolf. derek/stiles.
the fortress round my heart.
cora wants to go on a road trip. “fuck this place,” she says vehemently. “fuck this toxic hellhole cesspit.” derek has nothing left, can’t disagree with her, so they go.
this is a post season 3a fix-it fic, which i've never really been too fond of, but it's by
drunktuesdays whose fics are always delightful.

the pack, after college, graduate school and the starting of careers, comes back to beacon hills. nothing's gotten less complicated after all this time.
this is probably my favorite teen wolf fic of all time. idyll's fics are always wonderful, but this one blew me away. it has all of my favorite things, pack dynamics, families of choice, scent marking, everything. the whole thing is based around maslow's hierarchy of needs with the characters making deliberate career and positioning decisions to secure their safety and security in beacon hills, which i thought was really interesting. everything about the fic just fits and i can't even put into words why exactly i love it so much, just that i do. if i could make everyone out there read just one fic, it would probably be this one. i just adore it. the office. ensemble.
sleepover.
michael decides to have a sleepover at the office. shenanigans ensue.
dollsome is also one of my favorite writers and while i love all of her work, this one would have to be my favorite, just because it's so perfectly in character. it reads like an episode of the show, i could picture everyone so perfectly.
