I can't remember the last time I wrote for pleasure... and unfortunately this doesn't count because of the extreme non-pleasure I'm getting from my paper for gender roles which is... two weeks late, and tomorrow is the last day of class. OUCH! That being said... it's about a comparison of gay stereotypes in both Heathers (1989) and Mean Girls (2004) - with the idea that fifteen years has not changed much, but merely how they are presented - including gays instead of simply talking about them, and as (somewhat) sympathetic but ultimately as feminine/anti-masculine. The good thing is that I have far more material to work with than the professor requested. What annoys me however is that she wants a "reflection" on how the experience of the project "affected" us and how we "felt" about it. Now, generally, how I feel is quite clear in what I write - and if I was to be perfectly honest, I haven't "learned anything from this experience" that I didn't already know before hand and my attitudes have not changed in the slightest... the problem is that this class turned out to be far too introductory for my tastes and represents a cross section of social science newbies as well as more advanced and experienced students - with the effect of boring those who more or less know everything already. ::SIGH:: Lets just get this done.

I also have to come up with a presentation for my other two classes tomorrow on our final projects. I'm just not sure I'll have the time. I mean, I can finish this essay by two... but these days I can't stay up past then, and there will be no time tomorrow to go ahead and find an anthology regarding to funerals for people who died of AIDS and then go and take whatever they wrote and tie it into some of the stuff we read this semester.

However, it IS supposed to snow tomorrow/today, which is rather exciting, since if it's going to be fucking freezing, there better be a reason. BLAH!

People need to get off their asses and play scrabulous because I know have 8 inactive games and 6 more that haven't been played in at least two days. This frustrates my attempts to procrastinate people!
