Hold Back the Rain
Blah blah blah really long day blah blah blah nice relaxing afternoon in the sun blah blah blah narrowly avoided paint on my favorite jeans blah blah blah went to bed at 4 AM blah blah blah woke up to FLOODING IN THIS GODDAMNED BASEMENT AT 5 AM JUST WHEN I REACHED DEEP SLEEP.
I should be thankful... unlike the rooms on either side of me, whose floors were covered, mine and Jack's was spared but for the smallest protrusion by the radiator (for now anyway), which given the state of the floor with books and papers and clothes, was a huge blessing. We've cleaned up... there's nothing like a good flood to prompt that.
Nevertheless, I am grumpy because I was scheduled to get up in three hours. This will most likely be revised.
Until the sounds of the water vacuum cease, I shall continue listening to Chess, which is the only thing that gets me through the stress of my life as of late, and reading Lolita.
