I like this. I can feel his optimism. :)

I like this part: He would also call his prior existence ‘meaningless’ but he tries not to get ahead of himself and nullify the things he has done in his life because some of them are important and still have meaning. Peter really wants the new, the exciting, important things in life, doesn't he! But it's good that he can see that even the "ordinary" things meant something. That's important. If only he can hang on to that idea...

Good old Peter, full of optimism yet happy to embrace that he might now be part of something greater and capable of extraordinary things. I think he hung onto all of it for a while, but forgot a lot of things over time, although he did migrate back to certain things every now and then, not completely dismissing his past...

Glad you liked! Thanks for reading and commenting :)

I was entranced by your icon!

"He would also call his prior existence ‘meaningless’ but he tries not to get ahead of himself and nullify the things he has done in his life because some of them are important and still have meaning." -- That was an interesting piece of characterization there. I like the human instinct to deny and belittle the 'old.' But its in character for Peter to remember that he has accomplished important things in his past and, like he says, they still have meaning.

He really didn't question how it started, did he? Peter's religious so it seems fitting he would see that as God's plan as well as this: "Not all of them see it, or want to believe it, but Peter has a confidence this all happens for a reason."

You really went far back for this one! I liked that. It's a great little summary of his mindset back then.

The icon? :D lol, it could be better quality for sure, but I'm glad you followed it here, sort of...

I totally keep forgetting he's religious. Then again, I think they didn't bring it up until on the later seasons, am I right? Season 3, possibly? I seriously need to re-watch this show! Not being religous myself, my brain is happy to forget that little fact about him, apparently :/

Glad you liked this little "old" piece!

Very nice and thoughtful reflection back to season one, when Peter was full of hope. You show that well here and what a positive change he thought abilities were at first before he started losing control.

And let me apologize for getting behind on reading ur Avengers fic. I promise to get back to soon. Cheers!

Aww, thank you, glad you liked this one! (I guess we all tend to forget the beginning when we get too absorbed by the end...)

And no worries, I'm posting... well, slowly at times, so falling back on reading is a good way to ensure there's stuff available when you pick up again! (and super-big thanks for reading, naturally - I assume you're enjoying the fics?)

It's awesome this rings true to people (especially when I didn't even think this really went the religious way, because I don't usually pay attention to that stuff...) But yay for good Peter insight and that you liked this! :D Thanks for reading and dropping a comment ^^
