Haha, good to know I'm not on FFN's black list or anything XD (not that LJ's been much better, being so damn slow whenever I actually try to do something...)

I am not very good at writing short things. I want to expand things until I'm satisfied I've explained things the best I can. Of course I need to realize not everything needs to be so serious... but if it's NOT serious, then why bother writing it in the first place? LOL

(okay, that really has little to do with word count...). Nevetheless, I don't think I could write a 100 word drabble and be satisfied with it, nor call it a story. For me, it is just a... passage. (We've had some talks about that with my beta, who would like me to experient more, but I'm just too stuck to my ways, I guess. I aim for something else, although I'm not entirely sure what that something is). Sure, it would be neat to exercise choosing your words that way, with a very low limit, but that would simply work as an inspiration for me to write something bigger. Meh. :P

It's kind of unfair that whenever I go on a roll and in just half an hour write something like this chapter for the "Fire" challenge, I have to cut it down XD After all, such productive days are rare for me. Oh well, next challenge ought to allow me to write more ;)
