Aww ....this was awesome! It's the most intense and unique post-Heroes AU. I enjoyed reading this very much indeed, despite the awful angst of the subject matter, and that is because it's so beautifully-written. The flood of painful and disturbing images overwhelmed me. Peter's situation was so hopeless that my heart ached. But at the same time I really fascinated by the idea that Peter let them use himself as a lifeless good. He did this to himself for expiation. It was so Peter. You grasped the very core of his character. The image of Peter having been deep in his sleep with the spike in his brain scared me a lot, but at the same time it fascinated me. He was somehow like a sleeping beauty in its saddest way.
I also liked Sylar's characterization. Villain Sylar is one of my favourites:D But he wasn't a simple-minded villain in this story; you gave him the deep and complex character. I wonder, could I cut the Sylar/Peter subtext with a knife?:D Thanks a lot for sharing this magnificent story with us. I absolutely enjoyed reading this.
Well... There may have been a Sylar/Peter subtext worth cutting in there somewhere, although it wasn't my intention to make it that way - I wanted to bring to you what I've seen during the 3 season of Heroes between these two characters. And on second thought I must admit that IS something with a subtext :P
I'm glad you enjoyed despite the rather depressing subject matter.
Yeah, Peter's prone to do stuff like this, ins't he? :P
