Snap.
One day, Kibum was performing at yet another SHINee World concert, when he heard something snap.
It wasn’t a loud, cracking snap. But definitely loud enough for him to wonder why the hordes of fangirls kept continued screaming as though they hadn’t heard it too.
He thought hard about it, entering auto-pilot mode, as he continued singing, dancing and providing moments of fanservice.
But he thinks he might just know what the snap was, as he finds things started changing from that moment on.
He smiles, but doesn’t feel the joy extending beyond his lips.
He frowns, but he feels no anger or unhappiness; he just feels cold.
He finds it all very, very strange. Very peculiar indeed.
And he wonders why it happened. Or what exactly happened the moment he heard that snap.
One time, he finds himself crying. He feels the tears travelling down his cheeks but he doesn’t feel any sorrow. Or at least his heart gives him nothing more than the same, cold silence since that fateful day. And suddenly, before he even knows it, he is laughing hysterically, uncontrollably.
But the tears continue to flow. Yet, the laughter doesn’t stop.
The laughter is not malicious, not ironic; true and heartfelt. But the tears are sad.

Yet another day, yet another city, another concert.
Kibum has given up trying to solve the mystery that is the snap he heard that day.
He turns to Jinki, and gives him the same smile that doesn’t come from his heart.
Jinki smiles back - sincere.
And suddenly, Kibum feels another snap.
A snap that feels very familiar, but strangely, minutely different.
He thinks it is the snap of something being pieced together again.

i really want to update my "Re..." series. i know how it will go, half the chapter's typed out in my computer waiting for me to complete it. but i just haven't had the time to really do the rest. i haven't packed yet for my crazy 3 month adventure somewhere near london and im leaving in just a few days so its all really really hectic now. =( SORRY! also, those interested in the continuation of some sorts of the het!jongyu (jjong/eunsook) story, please leave me a note so i can leave you a spot. =)
