I'm treating myself to a little updating after an hour of scouring the world wide web for why the Armenian Genocide occured. It's a lot harder to find than I thought it would be...I know it has something to do with their religion, but was actually Turkish political motives.
Drivers Ed last night. It was pretty fun, and I wasn't looking forward to it at all. First of all, I have Cindy, Kendra Long, Lauren Harris, Porter, Amy Glenn, Becca Glanz, Jacky Lamenzo in my class, along with the kid who looks like Jesus (yeah, you knw who I'm talking about) and a highly obnoxious posse headed by Katie Lopes. Marilyn, our teacher, is a cross between Joan Cusack and Michael VK's mom. I like her. Except the poor woman has got to be somewhat deluded by the fact that she has spent the last 20 years teaching kids to drive. Ack.
So, Cancun: I'm back, and it was fun. Relaxing, in fact, which I don't think is an adjective often used to describe Cancun. I read FOUR BOOKS. They were all kind of frivolous and teeny-bopper (and I read How I Paid for College: A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship, and Musical Theater twice), but whatevs. I have a lovely tan, including some patchy sunburn that will be tan in a matter of days. I didn't make any lasting friendships or anything, but I met Paco the hot waiter, and Alfredo the concierge who looks like Diego Huezo Rosalez.
Homeroom time.
