Name: Emily
Clothes: comfy, quirky, homemade, jeans, dance pants I've had since
sixth grade, pink-and-brown checkered vans, fake Birkenstocks, flip
flops
Music: Straylight Run, Dispatch, Dave Matthews Band, The Format, The
Frames, Relient K, Weezer, Brand New, Something Corporate, Rent, Tick
Tick Boom, Bloc Party, Bright Eyes, Pavement, Modest Mouse, The Shins,
The Who, LFO; Nick Drake; The Push Stars; Green Day
Coffee: strong, preferably sprinkled with cinnamon before you brew it,
or hazelnut, or french vanilla, with fat free half-and-half and two
Splendas; in my Calumet mug or Dublin mug or Paris mug, or Starbucks
cup, preferably Christmas kind (!!!); spilled on probably
three-quarters of the shirts I own; I do enjoy the occasional
cappuccino; there is soooo much I could say about coffee if I was a poet
Right Now: computer's on battery, not plugged in; in the basement with
Little Sis and Dad, who'se folding laundry; watching "Millions" (hell
yes for indie kid's movies); wearing my Peace shirt; just finished a
Zone chocolate-peanut butter energy bar; sitting in weird fake leather
brown chair that I never sit in
Money: not much; did some Christmas shopping (haha chopping)
yesterday; my dad didn't make me pay him back for the 20 bucks I
lost on Thursday at Not Your Average; generally spent on coffee
and food
Christmas: about 45 days away????; red; dressing up; presents; not as
fun as you get older; or maybe not that, just that my parents'
un-Christmasiness is rubbing off; the season is more fun than Christmas
morning; last year me and Paulina made up a dance to All I Want For
Christmas Is You to show my parents on Christmas morning; the year
before that we made up a play about Santa in which the only prop was a
kitchen chair and Santa consumed exorbitant amounts of McDonald's; we
used to have these candy-cane striped nightgowns that we finally gave
away a couple weeks ago; the Christmas tree makes everything better
Today: went to a Mary Kay make-up party type thing and bought hand
scrub, lip exfoliant, and green eyeliner; skipped church and talked to
church people in the church basement instead; took a walk in the dark
with Pete and saw his entire family together for the first time
ever/met Kate Staley; saw the coffee shop in Norwood that mine is going
to be modeled after
