And so the debate begins. I'd thought I'd type out the pros and cons for a nice visual.
COMMONS:
pros:
-location location location
-encourages sub-leasing
-people living there (Rachel, James, Victor, other people who I've forgotten)
-more available, more flexibility in getting the type of apartment we'd like
cons:
-poor management
-maintenance issues
-more expensive
-far from gym; gems team rooms/offices; Comcast Center
COURTYARDS:
pros:
-less expensive
-apparently nicer (larger rooms)
-fitness center & other community ammenities
-people living there (Terri, Meg, IV people?, other people who I've forgotten)
cons:
-don't encourage sub-leasing as much
-(could be a pro) lease doesn't extend into the whole summer
-less apartments available, might have less selection with choosing apartment location (floor, balcony or not)
