My Lady Valium

Anteros stared long at the ceiling, so long that he was starting to see pass the ceiling to the stars. He didn't want to put up with anymore hassle tonight, and turned his head away from them. "Not tonight," he repeated out loud as he nuzzled his cheek into his pillow, staring at the picture of his Emily on the nightstand.

Flings he'd brought home had always inquired of the picture and he had always informed them that the woman in the picture was his grandmother...What lies could be believed.

He had thought he would have had company for the long haul of this night when Peitho had arrived. He had perked up under the presumption she'd stay awhile...

But no she had to get all flustered and leave, and now he was back to feeling miserable, being haunted by ghosts he himself conjured...

"Wherever you are, do you ever think of me?" he inquired of the picture, not expecting an answer in return.

At least before Peitho showed up he was depressed, tired and ready to sleep, now he was depressed, too worked up to sleep and he was conscious of being alone. He got up out of bed slipping some trunks and a robe on, loosely tying the belt.

He decided that a dip in the hot tub on the patio out back, might help, but first he needed something to drink. Something to help him relax more wouldn't hurt either. From his bedroom he charged into his kitchen, stepping over Adonis, the sleeping dog who had a bad habit of sleeping stretched out in walk ways.

Anteros remembered the bottle of valium his last mortal sleep in had left on the counter in his kitchen. He'd never took any before, but the girl said she had took them to calm down and relax.

He needed that more then anything...
