Nearly Walking Blind

He watched the sun slip over the sands, leaving the world in a blanket of night and inviting the suffocating cold. He didn’t turn to spy the rising moon…the sliver that remained, heralding the coming of the new moon. The blindness was coming and yet, and yet he had not seen hide nor hair of Set.

“Where are you hiding?” He murmured into the fading rays to desperately held on to the sky, slowly slipping over the curve or the earth. “WHERE ARE YOU HIDING!”

So close, it was all so close...and dangerously lingering out of reach.

He should have spoken to Re before this, before he came hunting the sand of time for Set, and yet he did not wish to come face to face to Re. Just another face to tell him he was holding on to the past, and needed to let it go.

There was only one who had the right to ask that of him, and Osiris was not going to…At least, not any time soon.

He summoned his twin blades to his hands and flexed his strong hands around the hilts.

“Come on Set, lets finish this….for good.”
