"Quite.." Hades murmured, before coughing violently in his hands. Athena simply stood and watched the Underworld God from a stray position. He clutched his chest, wincing painfully and then eased back into the pillows - for a moment - bathing in everlasting warmth coming from his Mother. Hades shuddered then when he felt the comfort so easily slip away.

"I have come because...Something terrible has happened. Our world has been tossed asunder and you are responsible." Athena began, keeping her tone low and to her best ability, unaccusing. "I have seen your child, Hades. This chaos that beseeches you is remarkable. I have seen visions of pain that I could have never dreamed of on my own. ..What have you done, Hades?"

For a time, he just stared at her and tried to make sense of the situation. Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, Arts and Medicine, simply drops in and starts telling of the things that he had been experiencing like they were her own? ..Nonsense. Why would his burden be shared? And why by such an unlikely Goddess? Then he smiled, or what could have been considered a smile. Hades was a fool indeed...

Athena had felt these things because balance was one of the most important threads of existence to her. When the balance was askew, she suffered the weight of it. It made sense of course that she would sense his suffering, but not to such an extreme detail. The pieces were coming together, but the picture was still unclear.

"So you've come to tell me that you know what's happening and what...? You're wasting my time Athena, get out."

The Goddess glared hatefully at her uncle, how dare he dismiss her in such a way? She balled her fingers into fists and hissed angrily, "You listen to me...I am suffering just as you are because of your stupid decisions."

"Stupid...decisions?" Hades said coldly, "Little girl, I may be weak ...but I will not think twice about throwing you into that hole your father was in for eons."

Athena grit her teeth, "How dare you...You vile wretch. Do you think your little dungeon scares me? My father is free, Hades...do not think that you would keep me if you tried. I came here to stop this nonsense...I am tired of suffering for your choices."

"And what is it you propose to do..? Do you even know what's wrong, Athena? I sold my soul with that child, my being went with her...If I don't get it back I'm done for. Thanatos has her soul, he is the one you need to seek."

Athena stood quietly for a moment, clasping her hands over her elbows and watching Hades. It was true, what was happening to him. The very life seemed to wax and wane as he spoke and moved. If he simply dissipated...she supposed that it would no longer bring her any harm..but what it would do to the balance, she could not say.

"I will find Thanatos."

And with that, she was gone.
