A Continuation of this

Nyx nodded at Apollon, a slight smile escaping to her lips as she saw he was pleased. Mercilessly, she crushed the inclination to continue looking at him, turning her gaze to Zeus.

There was business at hand.

Taking a sip of her water, she said, "Perfect, then. Although now that you seem to have regained your power, Lord Thunderer, it may not be entirely necessary to proceed as originally planned. At first, it hadn't been anticipated that you at your full strength, and so of course, a two-wave attack had been on the agenda. Given that you -are- at you full strength, such a strategem won't likely be necessary."

She took another sip of water, and materialized a cigarette that smelled faintly of orchids, of which she took a drag.

"That said, it would likely be wise to raze Ares' temple at our earliest convenience. Do we know the status of the Arean guard? How would you like to proceed, Zeus?"

Nyx could probably find out the status of the Arean guard if she chose. The ubiquitousness of Night gave her an uncanny ability to... know things. However, the Arean guard was on Olympus, which was the realm of Aither.

Nyx did not prefer to have any contact with the realm of Aither unless it was an absolute necessity.

She regarded Zeus, drawing again from her cigarette.

The King inclined his head at his son, once. He was proud of his son, that pride apparent on his face.

"Thank you, Apollo. Your help is still greatly needed in this fight," he said and turned to Nyx.

Razing Ares temple to the ground would be more of a political statement than any actual miltarial strategy. A thought, and Ares would simply rebuild it. However, Zeus, for all of his kinghood, pondered.

Best to leave it and show he was unafraid of Ares as he was now or raze is and draw the fight out longer?

"Who can we send to determine the status of Ares' guards?" He gave Nyx an appreciative smile. As in... he appreciated her help. No more.

Honest.

Why does the urge to go "Oh me! Pick me!" spring up in his brain? Damn Arean guards, he remembers some of them from India and just the thought of tearing into their flesh again puts more color in his face and sends his heart beat racing for ...something.

He gives Nyx a questioning look as well. Please someone tell him that those here in this room have not forgotten his dealings with Ares' warriors.

Nyx was loathe to interrupt before Apollon had the chance to respond, but having just communicated with her husband, she felt it prudent to share the information as soon as possible.

"Gentlemen," she interjected smoothly, "I've been informed that things have gotten underway on Olympus. Erebos and Prometheus have arrived at the Temple of War, and have begun work on its destruction."

A bit of a smile played about her lips.

"Lord Zeus, Erebos has asked me to let you know that you will soon be able to enter the Pantheon without incident. Also, he awaits your word as to how to proceed with the Arean guard. Some casualties would seem inevitable given the destruction, however, he and Prometheus await your decision as to whether you would prefer to have them eradicated."

Nyx then turned to the wine god.

"Dionysus, if you are eager to encounter the Arean guard or participate in the proceedings, your presence would of course, be welcome, I'm told." She smiled slightly. "I remember your work in India in this vein."

Finally, she turned to Apollo, her expressioning softening slightly more than she realized.

"Phoebus," she said softly, "Given the nature of Darkness at work, it has been requested that you stay your hand for now. Your presence there could make the work more difficult."

Nyx awaited responses from each of the gods present.

"Thank you, Nyx."

Something passes that could be described as release, but only better as a shiver goes down his spine. Oh yes, he would love to fight again. Anyone and anything. He is not thinking about Ares anymore...well maybe his guards. Whatever past issues with Ares means nothing as he thinks only of venting. At this point it doesn't matter anymore whom, but yeah, his happiness is visible.

Only then does he look to his father for permission to go fight and blow off some steam. If it isn't given, he isn't going, no matter how much he may want to do so. No, no daddy-issues here.

Apollo smiled at the efficiency of the Goddess and the Gos she was married to. He had known that Erebos worked quickly, but he was still surprised.

He turned to Nyx, speaking to her for the first time since he had arrived here.

"I am, of course, at your command Lady Night."

He tried to keep all trace of emotion out of his voice and was sure he had succeeded.

"I ask you to let me know when I may lay my hands down and assist in the fight."

He stepped back and let the other gods answer her questions.

An internal eyebrow raised at his son, but Zeus said nothing. Yet. Perhaps his son did not realize that tampering with Night was not the smartest idea he'd come up with lately? Hmmm. At her command, indeed.

Zeus dipped his head at Nyx. "Please tell your husband to proceed in the manner he thinks best. He works in my name." Simple, really. The king took an extra moment to ponder the lack of hardness in her expression towards Apollo. Only his eyes glanced back toward the son on his left and the implications began to set in.

A wave of his hand and Zeus dismissed Dionysos. If the god were to bounce anymore, he'd draw attention from those around them, Nyx's spell or not. The eagerness in his stature was not to be denied. "Go, Dionysos. Enjoy."

Lords knew that Zeus would. Finally. Home. He cracked his own rather evil smile. Now, to find Ares... but that was something he would do. Ambitious bastard thought he could-

Patience.

And with that, Dionysos is gone before anyone can stop him. Fight or no fight, even if he just gets to see. All right, he does pause to give Zeus a wide grin before fading away.

Nyx nodded to Zeus.

"It will be as you say then, Majesty." She smiled at him prettily.

She cast a more sly smile to Dionysus, pleased for him that he would have the opportunity to participate as he saw fit.

Finally, she looked at the Light god, and offered him a gentle smile.

"Your assistance is always appreciated, Apollon. I will be in contact as soon as is appropriate."

Having said that, she stood, her cigarette dissipating into the air, followed in short order by her glass.

"Now, gentlemen, it is with great regret that I must leave you - I am afraid that there is a matter which requires my undivided attention. Feel free to contact me if you require my assistance with anything... but I'll be in touch."

With that, Nyx disappeared in a shower of coruscating midnight sparks.
