After
wandering about and still no siblings, Himeros decided to occupy himself. Granted, he hadn't waited that long but he seemed to have caught onto Pothos' impatience.
Himeros was the curious type. He admitted this fact freely. He was the type to wonder about things, ask questions, poke about at times - but he always did so within the bounds of propriety. It was Pothos who was nosy to the point of distraction and rudeness.
Either way, when he had heard of his siblings' fascination with the new, modern mortal world, he felt that it might be high time to see what all the fuss was about. What was so interesting about it that they felt the need to hang about with mortals all the time? Granted, in the old days, he spent much time with mortals - but he had drifted by and by. Leading to his self-imposed voluntary exile in a hidden copse with the Kharites for company, where felt so much more at peace. At peace enough that he was content to do all his work from there.
He flashed down to the mortal world -
the conversation with Mummy having gone so wonderfully well - and was immediately thrust into a world of noise and chaos and utter confusion that it took all his will power and the fact that gods did not run away from mortals, for him to stay put. Taking in everything at once was bit much but Himeros was confident he would adapt.
He hadn't the faintest clue where he was but after some time of wandering about, invisible to their naked eye, he was comfortable enough to want to become seen by them. He looked around though, trying to decide what would be acceptable for him to don. He finally settled on a
green velvety shirt that hugged his upper torso well and a pair of low-riding black leather pants and carefully appeared to the mortals' eyes.
He smiled happily as he was given very, very appreciative looks, from both men and women. He winked at a pretty thing in a red dress and smiled sexily at an older man who wasn't hesitant to give him a slow once-over. He sighed in contentment. Yes. Now, he knew why he liked the mortal world so much.
