She missed the ocean. Longed for it somehow. The desert was a beautiful place. And safe. This house was completely safe. But she wished Herc had taken her somewhere with the ocean. The blue, the waves, the pretty white foam. Hebe rested her head on her arms, feeling sleepy again. For a moment, it'd felt like she could hear sea gulls, feel the salt air.
She was lying on a daybed looking out into a desert court yard; cati and brushes that needed little water, small flowering plants in bright yellows and pinks. It was pretty. But it wasn't the ocean. And despite Anicetus' powers and charms in helping her withstand the pain and Circe's ointments and potions which had helped the flow of blood to stop and things begin to heal somewhat...
Things still throbbed. Ached. And she couldn't move that leg the way she wanted to.
She wondered if it was the potions that made her so sleepy. Circe had been the easiest person for Alexiares to find, but her skills weren't those of healing the body. Not injuries as severe as this on an immortal.
Hebe sighed, head on a pillow, wishing for the ocean. Maybe, when Herc was healed enough he could take her. She smiled a bit. And they wouldn't have to think about why he was carrying her. They could just, have a day at the beach... splashing and laughing...
Exhaustion washed over her again and she looked down and cleaned the bloody bandages on her hip until they looked fresh and untouched. Things were supposed to be healing. She had to remember that....
Olympus was still in danger, there couldn't be any more infighting. And Herc couldn't panic. He mustn't worry. He had to keep his wits about him.
Her eyes closed. She was so tired.
