Thinking this through time and again, Hades was continuously served with the same result. He knew that very few, if any Deities would help him…and even more was it foolish for him to try and complete such a task on his own. That, however, was the way the ball bounced. And it was time to finally send it rolling.

Hades looked at himself in the mirror - an impatient look scrawled the King’s face. He had all the answers he sought, but none of which he knew how to apply. Moros had said he was sloppy…that wasn’t exactly true. Hades had thought this over for months…lost endless amounts of sleep and it drove him to the edge on all of this. Now he was just left to deal with the chaos when everything began to unravel. And keeping things together was no simple task.

The Underworld God moved away from the mirror, taking a necklace off the wardrobe that had been laid out. It was his key to coming out of this one alive…and then the king smiled. Alive? ..Who in their right mind could stop him anyway?

Hades sighed once, sparing one last glance in the mirror and dimming the candles in the room he whispered, “Now is the time.”

Crouched in the center of an open area of the room, he traced his fingers on the floor in what appeared to be some dust…dust that should have long been swept away by the maids. Now it served as a link - one so strong the messages would travel acrossed the Netherworlds and Earth alike. And once he spoke, his voice was for deity and creature alike to hear…the time of movement had come.

“….Dearest Goddesses and Gods, I applaud your patience and apologize for my haste. I realize what is happening right now must leave a million questions on every last one of your minds…but then again, some of you have chosen to avoid what has happened. Very intelligent move on your part.

Those Deities who were forced to leave the Underworld…I ask now to please come to my temple. You are needed in your places now; the disruption has gone on long enough. Once you arrive, you will be informed of everything that is currently taking place…

And to everyone else…

The time has come for us to end this…let it be done.”

His hand drew away immediately, ceasing the connection and he gathered himself quickly to his feet. With three steps the Underworld God had completely vanished from Tartarus to his new goal.

Beneath the full moon, under a sky littered with stars as far as the eye could see and too infinite to count…Hades stood on the sands of the Sahara Desert, reveling in its beauty.

“Come Messenger! …Let us hear what your Master has to say!”

hades, hercules
