Thanatos' shadow arrived back at the brownstone just before Thanatos' corporeal image had. His shadow was always either slightly ahead or behind him. He hadn't expected to be embraced, or he would have tried to pull some heat from the warm atmosphere outside to him. He remarked about the cold, "I hardly notice it Ruina, but I do sometimes..."

Ruina's enthusiasm was intriguing to watch, so young and full of life. He only smiled at her when she told him he should meet Seth.

The Norse's inquiries however drew his attention, and he wondered which behavior in particular that she thought odd, "I do, unless I am walking under glamour among mortals...but it has been some time since my skin took on the guise of mortal flesh."
