Title: Lessons Learned
Pairing: GacktDa
Rating: PG-13 to NC-17
Warning: When I started, my muse was bipolar. Expect similar mood-swings from the fic. It’s not that great- at all- but I hope that you enjoy just having something to read, at least. Oh, and a bit of boy on boy action for those who endure it.
Disclaimer: I don’t own anybody whose name resembles an idol/celebrity’s O_o
Summary: Tatsuya’s having trouble in Chemistry and his ever-helpful sister decides she’s gonna help him find a tutor. Drama ensues.
A/N: guess who just started university again~! Yeah, I'm taking a LOT of courses this year, plus I tutor part-time, so don't expect too much from me this year either D: but I'll do my best!

“Tatchan…”
“Hmm?” he doesn’t look up from his book.
“…You haven’t worn a shirt with a neckline that close in a while,” Yuichi remarks casually.
“Hmm?” now he does look up, and sees Koki is suppressing laughter, though Junnosuke still seems confused. “It’s colder today,” Tatsuya gives him a ‘what-are-you-on?’ look. “This shirt is warmer.”
“Don’t you usually wear scarves outside on days like this?” Junnosuke muses innocently.
Tatsuya throws him a ‘whose-side-are-you-on-anyway?’ look. “Not always. The other day I wore a hoodie. That’s weird.”
“Is the cold why you keep tugging at your shirt there every few minutes?” Yuichi should really go into acting or something. That tone is a work of art.
Koki snickers.
Tatsuya blushes. Not a lot, but just enough. Just enough for friends who’ve known him nearly all his life to notice.
“Tatchan~ what aren’t telling us?” Koki sing-songs, inching closer.
Yuichi sidles up on his other side. “More appropriately, what aren’t you showing us?” he whispers into Tatsuya’s ear, making the cornered boy shiver despite himself.
Tatsuya doesn’t respond. He knows it’s no use. So when Koki and Yuichi each take an arm and Koki commands Junnosuke to expose Tatsuya’s right shoulder, he doesn’t resist. When they release him, cackling on all sides, he curls his knees up to his chest and glares at them all, tugging his shirt back in place. “You’re all just jealous,” he grumbles, with a particularly sharp glare at Yuichi.
Yuichi isn’t fazed. “I just never tried is all,” he says with a shrug.
Koki gags behind Yuichi’s shoulder, and Junnosuke smacks him, pouting at him. “Don’t be mean.”
Yuichi pokes Tatsuya’s shoulder. “I take it your picnic went well?” he smirks. “Or is this how your study sessions go?”
Tatsuya simply grumbles, “The picnic, baka. I didn’t get a hundred percent on the retest all on my own.”
Yuichi raises an eyebrow. “I dunno…”
Tatsuya scrunches his eyes shut. “Go away…” he pouts. “Stop teasing me,” he glares, his patience wearing thin.
Koki smirks. “That’s reserved for Camui-senpai, is it?”
Tatsuya growls but Koki just chuckles, poking fun at him right up until the bell goes.
Later, he’s never been gladder to hear the last bell go. “Finally,” he hisses under his breath, stuffing his notebook in his bag.
“Why such a rush, Tatchan?” Kamenashi seems to have picked up Koki’s gibes, though he doesn’t know what they’re for.
Tatsuya sends him a dirty look and slips past a group of slow-walking schoolgirls, intent on beating most of the rush to the school entrance. It’s bad enough having everybody in class wondering who his new friend is- it’s so much worse when he has to part a crowd to get to him.
“Oh my god!! Isn’t he that guy who sings with that rock band, the one from ToDai?”
“Moon Child? It totally is!!”
“I wonder if he’ll give me an autograph? He’s soooo hot!!”
“Too late,” Tatsuya whimpers, easing through a gaggle of girls. He walks straight up to the university student, despite the angry glares he gets, and complains, “I thought I said to meet me down the block!”
Gackt raises an eyebrow and draws him close, earning mixed responses from their audience. “Alright, I like the attention, I suppose… But I also like seeing you get all riled up,” Gackt whispers into Tatsuya’s ear, brushing Tatsuya’s bangs from his eyes. He straightens up while Tatsuya splutters and Gackt calls, “Goodbye, my dears. I’m afraid I have more urgent business to attend to.”
“Make me sound like a chore…” Tatsuya mutters.
Gackt barely catches it and, glancing sidelong, barely gives Tatsuya a second to respond before swooping down and kissing him fully. Gasps, a strangled squeak or two, and several “kyaa!”s follow this and Gackt’s lips curve into a smile as Tatsuya jerks away, bright red and furious.
A wolf whistle sounds from the back and Tatsuya cringes openly while the girls part for Koki, Yuichi and Junnosuke, before trickling swiftly away in a cloud of loud whispering and chatter. “Tatchan, I thought you weren’t into PDAs?” Yuichi admonishes, looking only a little hurt as he comes up beside Koki before Tatsuya and Gackt.
“I’m not,” Tatsuya insists, glaring up at a serene Gackt.
“Why hello, you’re Tatsuya’s friends aren’t you? I believe we’ve met briefly but I’m afraid I don’t remember your names…” Gackt frowns slightly at them, ignoring Tatsuya’s obvious disapproval.
Koki pipes up, “It was a few years back, wasn’t it? This guy here on my right is Taguchi Junnosuke, I’m Tanaka Koki, and this jealous guy over here is Nakamaru Yuichi,” gesturing to each in turn.
Yuichi smacks Koki for the last, glancing away.
Gackt eyes Yuichi warily.
Tatsuya sighs. “Don’t worry, he was just a little more…. reserved than you are while we dated.”
Gackt raises an eyebrow. Yuichi shrugs.
“Well anyway, I just wanted to say hi,” Koki interjects, “formalities an’ all that. I bet the lovebirds want us outta their way now.”
Junno pouts. “But what if they want to come with?” he turns to the pair with brightly shining eyes. “D’you wanna come with us to the arcade?”
Gackt glances to Tatsuya, who seems to be fidgeting from foot to foot awkwardly. “Sorry Taguchi-kun, but we have plans already. Some other time? I’ll challenge you to any game of your choice when we do.”
This last statement melts the frown straight off Junno’s face and he’s clearly already plotting. Koki rolls his eyes. “Well, have fun! And don’t forget to play it safe!”
Tatsuya hides his face in his hands as Gackt leads him gently away with a farewell to the friends and a chuckle.
“Quite the characters,” Gackt remarks lightly two blocks later. While they’re attracting many stares, Gackt insisted that they enjoy the lovely- that is, cool and cloudy- weather while it lasts.
Tatsuya tugs his sweater closer about him. He tries to sound irate, but a hint of affection slips through anyway when he replies, “Yeah, they’re obnoxious as hell-spawn but they’re good guys.”
“I didn’t realize you’d dated that Nakamaru-kun. I always thought he was more… affectionate than the others.”
Something in Gackt’s tone has Tatsuya glancing up, and then his jaw drops and he whispers, “You’re not… jealous?”
Gackt doesn’t reply, but he does walk a little closer to Tatsuya so their arms brush together - Tatsuya forbade him getting too touchy-feely in public and Gackt seems to be sympathizing after his earlier display. Nevertheless, Gackt’s body language simply screams ‘possessive’.
Tatsuya fights to keep a silly smile off his face for the remainder of their walk and fails, miserably so, eventually giving up and savouring the moment.
