Hello, flist! Welcome to my first (and probably last!) work of fanfiction! It is my love-letter to Disney World and to the Winchester boys. (For those of you expecting crack, you're out of luck this time! *g*) I hope you enjoy it...

“Since you drove, I'm surprised we didn't end up in the Grumpy lot.”
Dean mutters under his breath, “Please not Small World. God, anything but Small World.”
And oh, the ending, and Sam's cautious, perfect answers, and it rained and washed everything clean, and they wound up having a GREAT TIME! Awesome!

This is wonderful! It's snarky and sweet and funny and action-packed and fun and there are pirates and sword fighting and a total chick-flick moment that made me melt. Love it, beginning to end.
After a few minutes, the servers call out “Elwood? Jake?”
*snicker*
And, awwww, poor Dean getting dissed by high school girls. But it's okay. He's better off with a real woman, one closer to his own age like me.
I cracked up like crazy when the pirates -- PIRATES! -- started attacking them.
“Can you be done now? ‘Cause I think I’m gonna yak.”
Don't think I didn't notice that. SNEAKY. But really? Wonderful scene there, with Sam's worst fears and Dean yelling at him in that he-only-yells-because-he's-scared way.
And the end? ♥ x a million. I adore that Sam hasn't figured everything out, and he tells Dean that, and maybe they're still not quite on the same page, but at least they're reading the same book now, and that's a really lame metaphor, but the lameness of my own interpretive metaphors does not lessen my love ( ... )

Dude. NEVER AGAIN. This was excruciating! I can't figure out how you can keep doing this time after time. I am wrung out!
But I am SO glad you liked it. Pirates. Hee. (And Lyra made me put the 'yak' thing in at the last minute. Blame her.)
I adore that Sam hasn't figured everything out, and he tells Dean that,
Yes, that is something I found really satisfying with this process... that I could rewrite/revisit the scene in Shadow and have Sam says what I want him to say. Not that he's got it figured out or that anything is certain, but that he doesn't want to abandon/hurt/reject Dean.
Thanks for your feedback, m'dear. You have no idea what it means to me.
P.S.- There's something called "Hidden Mickeys" at Disney World. It's a game visitors play of finding images of MM hiding in odd locations around the park. There's a hidden shout-out for you in the story, if you can find it. :)

This former spoiler source for Alias (owned by Disney, frequent harasser of me) salutes you. A LOT.
HEEEEE!

I'm not sure that Sammy could pick up on that so fast, but I was hoping there were readers like you who'd get the in-joke.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

“Sonofabitch,” Dean grumbles. “We’re going to Disney World.”
~ cracks me up and makes me unreasonably happy!!!
I love Sam's random Magic Kingdom trivia and Dean's threat to lock him in the trunk. Great details about what they bring into the park with them.
*falls over laughing* My sister Ryn and I mock the tour guide/monorail voice and we always say "You have parked in Goofy...you have parked in Goofy." It's like you're channeling us!
I love that Sam's seeing Disney through the eyes of the kids around him, but also has the underground tunnel map. Very cool.
OMG...Dean gets dissed by the cheerleader girls! *falls over laughing*
Love the fight with the possessed animatronics in PotC. Poor Sammy, too big to fit comfortably in the Haunted Mansion ride.
Really nice seque to what's been bothering Dean all day. Great response from Sam (I got a little choked up). Fabulous ending with the beer and the shooting ride. What I wouldn't give to see Dean in a Mouse ears hat!
Fun fic! Great job!

My kids think I'm nuts, because when we're getting out of the car somewhere, I'm constantly launching into the "lower your head, watch your step, gather all personal belongings, and take all small children firmly by the hand" speech. It's gotten to the point where they can recite it, too! Hee!
If you want to, you can check back later today or tomorrow, I'm going to post a version with pictures from the park.
And Dean-wearing-Ears would blow my mind! Thanks for the feedback, hon! :)
