Oh, is it called platypus? I actually had to look that up in the dictionary. In Russian they are called "утконос" which is a compound word consisting of two roots - "duck" and "nose". See, I actually don't no anything about them either, only the grammar!

1. A sloth bear? He's both lazy and hibernates! This is something I highly support.
2. We had a few years there where we didn't have tv and I think it was so good for my kids (now they're back to watching like zombies). But it does leave you/them without certain cultural touchstones.
(ETA: ooops, had to delete that last bit. That's a bit private for an unlocked post.)

The Manimal thing is goofy. I remembered it so clearly for years--that there was this GUY and he would turn into a PANTHER and RUN and it was SO NEAT OMG! Then I saw it and maaaan, the cringing was epic.

But yes, those tiny little horses! Some people are using them like seeing-eye dogs, since they're longer-lived and naturally cautious.
