Oh, honey! Honey, YES!!! *flails excitedly* I am a million and a half miles behind on reading fic from this past semester, but there are some things that just HAVE to be experienced RIGHT GODDAMN NOW. This fic was one of those, and I knew it the second I saw it follows On Midsummer Nights...

This story is hot and perfect and funny and BRILLIANT, love. Seriously. I'm all grinning and giddy here. I adore what you did with the ears. They weren't just a gag image, they were real and expressive and wonderful, and they just about killed me dead. The image of Dean talking on the cell phone! Baby YES!!! You've got such a way with language, love. Smart turns of phrase and offhanded wit and it makes me so damn happy. Thank you so much for this story!

And as long as I'm being a total spazz of a fangirl, would you like to know my ridiculous list of favorite lines? Here, have it anyway:

The whole idea was intended to be a gag, but that damn Sam Winchester and his Angst and his Tenderness and his LONGING FOR HIS BROTHER. He just refused to let me goof around with it. I mean, ears, for goodness sake!!! *hands*

I love, love, ADORE that you pulled out the lines you liked. And I have SUCH a hard time writing the sex scenes, I'm overjoyed that this one worked for you.

OOOOO, I loved the initial fic and this is absolutely brilliant! RETRO EMO SAM. And, and. Loyal donkey-eyered DEAN and the whole tangle of emotions and want between them. There's a surprising amount of comedy here, but you're so damn good at it - and then melting right into some exquisitely hot boy-loving. I'm soooo excited about this fic!

I adore that Sam's research segues into what donkeys are like, and how Dean's just sort of fidgeting with the ear, and how Sam has all this guilt and yet he can't stop looking and....and....and...

The image of Dean playing with the ear like he plays with his pens, unconscious to the lips and all, was such a clear visual in my head. His oral fixation knows no bounds!!
