Legacy of the Modern World
o man, i am against legacy as a gen ed requirement. its not just that its boring. its not just that it turns people off of history. its not just a waste of people's time....
i believe it is damaging to this entire institution, and society in general.
the whole theme is like, "hey, just in case you missed this point in your entire socialization and education, white european men did everything that has ever mattered. And their stories are the most deserving of our attention. (and also dont think about what that means... shouldnt you be memorizing some names and dates right now?? quit with the thinking)"
It must be stopped!! Can the history dept be reformed?
Or must they be overthrown!?!?!
