I have just crawled my way out from under the virus of DOOM and it seems like as good a time as any to update...
I bring you a list of stuff, in no particualr order:
* Having
nessur visit was wonderful, although my liver still needs time to recover.
* Being sick for the last two weeks has sucked. I've only been better today, really. I spent all of last week in a haze and barely got out of bed.
* I love having a cat in the house, Little Girl is a rockin feline entity.
* On Sunday night I decided I was feeling better and needed to get out of the house, so I went to usher for
The Story. My friend Mariana is SM'ing for him this time, which rocks since she's awesome and has her own company that she usually works for, thus won't be looking to keep my job. Once I had been there for a few minutes getting settled and catching up, I asked if she wanted me to run down to the box office to grab the radio and get a house count. She paused, looked at me and said with a smirk "You really miss working, don't you?". Hell yes, I do! The most gratifying part of that experience was that moment of understanding from someone who's been bitten by the same bug I have... I could fill all my spare time with fun social things and I would still miss the work... and I do miss the work
* There's a better than even chance that I have a show for the end of October. *bounce*
* Sunday night, after I got home, I ended up in the ER. I guess I wasn't as recovered as I thought. Turns out it wasn't strep, like I thought, but the nice Dr. gave me tylenol with Codeine for the pain...
* Football season starts tonight. About gorram time.
* My day job continues to not really suck. Not a lot of work and decent money...
* I leave tomorrow morning for a weekend in Denver. I get to visit my Mom and see shows 12, 13 & 14 of my summer DMB set...
* DAVEY!!!! 3 nights of DAVEY!!!!!
* I'm hoping to host a brunch again soon. With football season upon us, if I do it, there will be football on in the living room and a strict no heckling policy.
* I will be hosting Thanksgiving again this year. I'm already looking forward to it. :) (Cooking for DAYS!)
