Gonna Make You Sweat! Sports Comment-Fic MemeOne week from today I'm doing something completely idiotic and am going to attempt to run 26.2 miles. So in the spirit of quixotic goals, I thought I'd run a comment-fic meme. And, honestly, who doesn't like hot, sweaty, heavy-breathing Winchesters? (or the Js as lifeguards or Misha running 50+ miles or ( Read more... )

They're not locals, that much she can tell from the minute they walk in. There's two of 'em, one a little shorter than the other but they're both nice and tall, with strong features and fit bodies, a damn welcome change to the other boys tonight. They sit down at a table off to the side and she heads over to them, wearing the best smile she can muster.

"Evenin', gentlemen. What can I get ya?"

"Couple of Coronas?" the guy with the shaggy hair answers, smiling slightly. She gives him a nod and turns, heads back to the bar and gets two bottles out, then pops the tops.

The other guy, all pretty face and sweet lips, is looking around. She'd suspect it's just that innocent, that he wants to get a feel for the place, but twenty years of this bar has taught her better. He's scoping the place out and, judging by his face, he's not too happy with the findings. So they're some of those.

Shaggy hair smiles up at her again when she brings the beers, thanks her when she sets one down in front of him.

"Sorry, boys, you'll needa find another place to earn your keep," she says, looking at the other guy as she puts his beer on the table. "Ain't no poker games 'round these parts."

Shaggy's not smiling any more when she looks back at him.

"So what, no pool table either?" Pretty asks, grinning like he's trying to pass it off for a joke. He's not that funny.

"We don't take kindly to hustling. You want money, you gotta earn it."

Shaggy takes a swallow of beer and then says, "Yeah? How do we do that?"

She points over her shoulder at Ol' Rusty. "Patron who rides longest gets five hundred."

"You want us to ride a bull?" asks Pretty.

She smirks - definitely not locals. "Don't tell me you're scared, tough guys like you."

They don't say anything, which is surprising because Pretty seems like a smartass, so she turns and heads back to the bar.

"Hey," she hears sometime later, and looks up to see Shaggy standing by the bar. A quick glance shows Pretty near Ol' Rusty, checking her out. "How much is it for a ride?"

"Ten."

Shaggy considers it for a moment, then nods, puts down a twenty. "Might as well each give it a go."

She heads to where Pretty's standing, and he turns when he hears her.

"You boys ever ride one of these before?"

"No ma'am," Pretty says, shit-eating smile plastered on his face.

Shaggy rides first, and it's almost depressing. He flails when the machine bucks, like he was barely able to keep his balance while standing on the floor, and he's off in two seconds flat. He gets up and dusts himself off, sends a glare at Pretty, who's trying to hide a smirk. Not that she reckons he'll be much better.

She's wrong, though, 'cause when he gets on and she starts it up, he seems to barely notice. He rocks with it and it doesn't matter how it kicks, he stays on, smirk growing on his face as the seconds pass by. When he finally gets thrown off it looks more like he let go. The cocky look is well warranted; unless someone can beat Pretty's time in the next hour, the money's theirs.

"Thought you said you never rode one of these before," she says finally.

"I haven't," Pretty says, then glances over at Shaggy and runs his tongue over his lips, smirking. "Ridden something pretty close to it, though."

Guh, hot. I really liked out outside POV for it, and I can't help but think how Dean would frown if he knew she thought about him as Pretty all the time.

I'm glad you liked the outside POV! It was my first time trying it and I was kind of worried.

Heh, yeah, I'm pretty sure Dean wouldn't be smirking at that.
