So which episode of Stargate is it?

I remember that the series became more light-hearted after S1 (I was disappointed) and eventually began to make self-referential jokes. I don't recall the pig-headedness, but that was something like nine years ago....

I'm currently halfway through season one. The episode I was mainly talking about was the one where they go to the planet with the permanently-dark area and the permanently-light area, and all the people in the dark area are cavemen. And it starts turning their team into cavemen too...
There's a lot about this episode that could make me go all ranty. But I'm going to be nice and restrained. For the moment.
