Hee! That was so delightful. Spike living with Giles in Season 4 was something part of me always wished could go on forever, so this is a very welcome addition to that. :) You've captured the two of them and their dynamic so brilliantly.

Thanks!
Spike at Giles' house was one of my favourite parts of season 4 - I always wished we could have seen more of it.

So glad you enjoyed this!

How Giles managed not to stake Mr. Annoying is beyond me. Perfect dialog from both of them. Spike is just way too ADD to help his own cause, isn't he?

He is, rather.

I'm still grinning.

What really gave me the giggles:
“An occasional ‘please’ or ‘thankyou’ wouldn’t hurt your case.”
“Get knotted.”
“Charming.”

A pause.
“Please?”
“No.”

I remember you mentioning some nervousness about writing Spike, but I really enjoyed the way you wrote him - and I'm a bit picky about people's interpretations of Spike. (“What’s the Sumerian word for ‘useless’?” just struck me as so..Spikey.) Giles’ dialog was also spot-on, not to mentinon damn funny.

You always do a such great job at painting a picture, without getting too wordy. Good work hon!

Oh, good! I'm glad my Spikeishness worked for a picky-about-Spike person. He's awfully tricky to write without accidentally going over-the-top.
That being said, it was an awful lot of fun writing Spike and Giles getting on each other's nerves...

Glad you liked this!

Bwahahahaha!

I think had Spike not had that little mishap with the chair, he'd have been staked in another minute or so. Which, of course, might be his plan (to avoid staking, I mean).

Good point! Never underestimate Spike's ability to plan his way out of tricky situations.

I'm glad you enjoyed this!
