Day 6: Favorite Male Character
BtVS
I spent ages on this trying to choose between Xander and Giles - and then went "Oh yeah. Spike. DUH." Because as much as I love Xander (which I really do), and as much as I squee over Giles being his awesome self, the introduction of Spike was what
a) made BtVS my favourite show (taking the top spot from Firefly)
b) made me instantly go out and buy the complete boxset
I love him.
AtS
Easiest question EVER.
Because it's Wesley. Obviously.
I seem to be one of the few people who really liked him on BtVS, and was happy that he was joining the AtS cast (never really cared for Doyle that much). But he only started stealing my heart in The Ring, when he pulled out that crossbow. You see, I like Wesley Wyndam-Pryce; I adore Wes.
Other Wesley-centric that increased my fascination are:
- swearing at Faith, mid-torture
- dressing up at Angel, and gradually becoming more confident in the role
- sending Pylean rebels off to die
- stealing Connor
- countering Justine's attempted attack with "I'll take away your bucket", and her backing down
- the whole Lilah thing (every moment of it)
- breaking Faith out of jail
- being exactly the Watcher Faith needs
- shooting his father
- knee-capping the employee mid-Fred-debacle
- every scene he had with Illyria
