Three years isn't too long to spend doing a 30-days meme, right?
This one took a while to decide. Not the whole three years - but certainly a good half hour.
I was pretty certain that it'd be a Buffy scene, or possibly a scene from Frasier - but, try as I might, I couldn't think of any. Finally, I resorted to going to look at my dvd collection, and, for each show, see if there was any scene that instantly sprang to mind.
...apparently my brain is still 17, and will take any opportunity to scrawl PACEY/JOEY 4 EVA!!! all over what I'm doing.
And the best scene ever, according to that teenage-shippy part of me, is this one:

I love it. I love every part of it, from the romantic scene starting when they're annoyed with each other, to the countdown to a kiss. But my favourite bit of all is Pacey's declaration of:
I came here to be with you! It's as simple as that. When you like somebody, proximity is a good thing, regardless of how they feel about you. Or don't as the case may be.
That particular moment is one that I have been trying to recapture in every romantic scene I've encountered since.
Like Harry's "And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."
Or Spike's "When I say, "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try."
I love how matter-of-fact it is. How both of them are perfectly well aware of everything he feels, and how he can just point it out to her as something that should be perfectly obvious, even though it's the first time it's really been said. And I love how he's quite clear on the fact that he loves her - regardless of what she thinks of him.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch it a few more times...
