Seven months ago, I lent a jigsaw puzzle to someone.
Five months ago, I got it back.
This week, I did the jigsaw puzzle again.
...and discovered that two pieces are missing.
Very inconvenient, especially given that I don't know if I lost the pieces, or they lost them, or if my cat took them while I was at work this week, and I have no way of finding out which.
*grumps*
