It's an AU, branching off at Who Are You?, and picking up a little later...

Wowzas. The style you used here was absolutely fantastic, and I love the idea-plotty-bit thing, too.

You got Faith's voice down very well, and Dawn is so incredibly...Dawn.

Oh good. I hoped she would be - I obviously had to change her a fair bit, so I'm glad Dawn-under-Faith's-protection still sounded like Dawn-under-Buffy's-protection.

Wow. I've read a lot of Faith-is-Buffy fics, and every Dawn/Faith fic I can get my hands on, but I don't think I've ever found both in the same story before. Really makes the head spin... in a good way. Obviously the monks put Dawn where the slayer would protect her, but what does Dawn remember from her childhood now? Did Buffy still get all the memories of her little sister Dawn..? 'Cause if she did, she's REALLY going to kick Faith's ass if she ever gets out. Again, wow. This one is going to stick in my head.
