silly remote...
I finally figured out why I've been having so much trouble hearing what people are saying on tv lately.
It's not because the silly editors put the music up too loud, which is what I've been thinking.
No, it's because my remote control had, at some point, accidentally set the tv to "surround sound" mode. And I don't have surround sound.
The voices were apparently coming through the non-existent speakers behind me, saving the soundtrack for the speakers on the tv.
Finally watched something I know far too well last night, and realised it sounded wrong - thus prompting me to check every single button on the remote.
Now I'm wondering how long it's been like that, and how many tv shows I've watched without hearing the words properly...
