Becker knew many things about Jessica Parker. He had spent a long time observing, learning.
He knew she was young, and still relatively innocent. She was small, vibrant, and cheerful. She had... interesting, and colourful, taste in clothes.
He knew she was deceptively intelligent, and in control. She was brave, and stronger than most people realised. Becker knew he trusted her.
He knew Jess was beautiful, and that she brought out his protective instincts. She made him smile. She broke down his walls. She made him feel.
Becker never admitted the truth, because he knew Jess deserved better than him.
