Glad to see you back. As for tablets, go with a name brand. Some generics are inexpensive and fairly awesome, but it's a huge gamble. From my recent stint doing product testing/review, I had multiple unknown brand tablets/phablets with malware in their firmware (one for stealing banking info). And beware of fake reviews! Do your research on reliable tech review sites, ignore the many positive reviews on large shopping sites.
Hi! Yes, I've been asking round friends, and I need to do a bit more research. I think I'm aiming for a mid-price type - not a cheap-ass brand you've never heard of, but probably not one of the really big expensive name brands either.
Hello! Those do sound good. I also like it when partners have a more harmonious relationship rather then antagonistic one. That's awesome that you found the next one in the series at a thrift store. I love it when fate works things like that out.
I've been keeping an eye out in charity shops, and have found several of his books from way further on in the series - book 14, 15, 16, etc, but they're not very useful right now! Finding book 3 so cheap was a nice surprise, and saves me having to order it through inter-library loan, which is how I got hold of books 1 and 2.
I do occasionally enjoy having a bit of time off from being online, but I think lately I've been offline *too* much, and I'm looking forward to getting a tablet and being able to get online much more quickly and easily.
I am rather late to the party, but hope you find a good tablet. I don't use one, but Neil is loving his Samsung one. We all had Galaxy phones once upon a time, very good.
I got a Samsung as well! I hadn't intended to get anything too expensive, but it was only about £10 more than the price range I was aiming for, so I decided to go for a safe brand rather than something I'd never heard of.
I might be looking hopefully at you and clea this weekend for hints on how to do lj posts on the tablet, I'm clearly still struggling a bit!
Sorry for the epically late reply! Took me ages to get sorted with the tablet, so I haven't been online much at all for the last few months. I've got *loads* of book reviews to catch up with posting! Hope to start slowly catching up now.

I have been the same lately with making my way here. I'm doing more work online lately and coming to my laptop for pleasure has taken a backseat.
