The figure on the CCTV feed finally sat up. Jess saw his hand go to his head, and come away stained dark.
“Becker, you have to move. There are creatures closing in on your position.”
Another screen showed a pack of wolf-like animals. The building schematic revealed just how close they were.
“Jess?” He sounded... scared? “I can’t see anything.”
Jess fought down the urge to panic. She reviewed the screens again.
“Okay, Becker, I need you to trust me.”
He didn’t hesitate.
“Yes.”
“There’s a wall behind you. Follow it, keeping the wall on your left...”
