OMG SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!! How brilliant was that?!

I think it's safe to say I'd been looking forward to this concert for a while. I love practically every John Williams soundtrack that I hear, and I own several on CD, so the prospect of hearing my favourites performed live by a proper orchestra was too good to miss.

What an awesome concert! No wonder you are squeeing. I would love to go to something like that. I happen to own quite a few John Williams soundtracks myself. *g* My mother hates his music and I have to tell her every now and then that she has terrible taste, lol.

Yay! (For great music and for talented eye candy ;) I'd love to go to a film music orchestra concert, but have never quite managed to find out when one is on in Melbourne!

I remember being in a sci fi bookshop in Melb years ago and the Imperial March suddenly came on as musiak, and I immediately got goosebumps and looked around for the Stormtroopers *G*

Lol! There were actually stormtroopers patrolling the concert hall lobby area when I arrived. And someone had gone in costume as Indianna Jones.

I'm not entirely certain what the regular classical music season ticket concert-goers thought about it all... :-)

I wonder if they did part 1 last year, or maybe even before that, before I started paying attention to the Nottingham Classics. I'm sure if I'd known abut it I would have gone!

It was rather badly timed with the DW prom. But according to the RT they're going to show that on BBC4 at some point in the future so we'll just have to keep an eye out for it.
