Becker eyed the ladies’ toilet door apprehensively. Jess had looked distinctly unwell moments before she dashed into the toilets, and he was worried. But at the same time, it was the ladies’ toilets, and quite frankly he felt embarrassed enough just standing outside it, let alone going in.
Abby appeared round the corner, and knocked loudly on the men’s toilet next door.
“Connor? You okay?”
Becker raised his eyebrows.
“Let me guess. Connor had the leftover cake as well?”
Abby nodded. “Jess?”
“Yep.”
Becker contemplated the ladies’ room door again, and glanced back at Abby.
“Do you want to swap?”
