This was all the fault of that stupid lizard. His lockdown system was foolproof, he had designed it with all possible contingencies in mind. But he had nearly died because of that creature!
And that Maitland woman, as well. She was too soft with the creatures. Too emotionally attached. Lester let her get away with far too much.
Why were they even keeping the creatures anyway? It was an outdated idea, a legacy from Cutter’s days.
No, something needed to be done about the situation. And if no one else could see that, he would have to do it himself.
