It was all his fault.
Philip may have had the idea, and the resources to make it reality, but he, Connor Temple, had been the one who did it.
All he had ever wanted was to make Cutter proud of him. Instead, he had betrayed everything his friend stood for, and broken the promise he made to a dying man.
He had failed, and now he was lost in some desolate, barren future world. Just like Matt had described.
Connor closed his eyes and thought of Abby, and prayed that when the predators found him, the end would come quickly.
