At the beginning of the year, I set a lofty goal to study all the eights. I started doing it by probability order but then, for some reason, I decided to switch and do it alphabetically. Not alphagrams ordered alphabetically but studying the eights starting with the ones that begins with the letter A, then moving on to the Bs, then the Cs and so on and so forth. Weird I know. But I think we'd already established that about Scrabble players. At least about the competitive variety.
Anyway, here are some curiosities for you:
The last eight-letter word that starts with an A is AMMONIUM (it takes an S)
The 500th eight-letter word that starts with a B is BRINDLED (I moved on to C after this, I'll come back to Bs later after I go through the whole alphabet)
The 500th eight-letter word that starts with a C is CHARNELS (I have studied beyond the Cs, but I'm not going to disclose how far along I am here)
How about you, how do you study your 8s?
